If you’ve been following along on my social media, you know I’ve been busy with my #theuniversedecides photoshoots which are photo sessions determined by a deck of cards and fate! I created these cards as a way to inspire, challenge, and help photographers get out of their ruts - but ultimately, they have been one of my favorite things to do this summer. I am spent more time creating outside than I have in previous years and it reminds me of the photographer I once was before I had a studio and even before I had a business. I am creating just to create and the unknown makes these that much more spectacular for me! The Universe seems to plant me in amazing places and this particular adventure took us 25 minutes North East where we ended up outside the city taking some dirt roads and we landed at this hot pink bridge (WHAT?) I had no idea this existed and it was perfect for the shoot (Regan had to wear spandex and be “bad ass” as determined by the cards so we put her in this saucy bright orange bathing suit)!! Anywho, I later found out that this bridge was a collaboration by 2 Winnipeg artists: @leaningfox and @press.on.wpg in support of the #blacklivesmatter movement! If you want to go get your photo taken by it, head East on Dugald and turn left at Deacon’s Road and drive for a wee bit - it’s hard to miss!
